Here at Leither Co. we love holiday/themed advent style boxes. With the amount of love we received on our Halloween and Christmas boxes, we received requests to design a spring box, so here it is, the 10 Days of Spring Box!
The 10 Days of Spring Box will be a mystery styled box where from April 1st to April 10th, we will open one yarn bag a day that will reveal the new colorway. We will then get together in our Leither Co. Community Facebook Group and we will work on the designed project over the 10 days. This project will be custom designed for the 10 Days of Spring Box and at the end of 10 days you will have a beautiful finished crochet project.
We have a free version (Crochet Along) as well, scroll down to read more!

We have sold out of our 10 Days of Spring Yarn Box BUT I have put together a free version of the 10 Days of Spring Crochet Along because I want everyone to be able to join in! I designed the project to be a great way to pick up your crochet hook and crochet the new design each day for about 30 minutes to an hour each day. Once you get going on the project it will get quicker and easier because the way it is designed to repeat certain segments over a few times. I have a serious obsession with crochet texture, just combining basic crochet stitches together can create the most beautiful texture.
When we hosted our 13 Days of Halloween Yarn Box in October 2019 and our Christmas Advent in December 2019, the only way to join the Crochet Along was to pre-order the box or purchase the crochet pattern and supply your own yarn. We wanted everyone to be able to join in on the fun, even if you weren’t able to grab a 10 Days of Spring Yarn Box, so we are hosting a free version as well but you will need to supply your own yarn.

I am so excited for us to finally be able to dive into the 10 Days of Spring Yarn Box! Today is going to be a little different because we are going to be opening up the additional goodies that were included in the box. If you pre-ordered your 10 Days of Spring Yarn Box, you not only receive the individually wrapped 10 skeins of yarn, but you also received a crochet hook, stitch marker set, two custom designed items for our spring box and some soak to wet block your project when we are done. So to begin lets start with opening up these goodies!!
First thing we are unboxing is our 10 Days of Spring Stitch Marker Collection, this collection is a gorgeous set of 5 stitch markers that scream, hello spring! We have a gorgeous pink rose, a bee and flower (you either received the blue or pink), a pink flower, a pink dragonfly and a teal flower. I have become obsessed with stitch markers and anything that is floral, spring themed may just be a little bit more of my favorite!
The next goody that we are opening up is the custom Leither Co. Butterfly hook gauge and ruler that we had made for our spring box. I love butterflies and gadgets and this hook gauge and ruler is the perfect combination. What is a hook gauge? We hand stamp the sizes of our crochet hooks on the bottom but I wanted to find a way for you to be able to check what your crochet hook size is, so that is where the hook gauge comes in. All you have to do is find the correct millimeter that your crochet hook fits into nice and snug and that is the size of the crochet hook that you have. Plus there is a 2 inch ruler and you know is makers, we always need to measure our gauge or projects!

Up next that I am unboxing is our wrist rulers! This is seriously an amazing invention and I am obsessed with it. I don’t know about you but I lose tape measures left and right and have no idea where they disappear to. Perhaps, they end up with the missing socks that they dryer eats and the tupperware lids that the dishwasher eats. Who knows, all I know is that I start with a handful of tape measures and by the end, I am lucky to find ONE! So that is where I love this genius idea of the wrist rulers! Why? Well the wrist ruler is just what it sounds like a ruler you wear on your wrist. You wrap the wrist ruler around your wrist twice and there are two metal clasps that lock together and then it will stay on your wrist. Then when you need to measure something, you just take it off your wrist measure and put it back on. What I love about the wrist ruler besides the convenience of always have a ruler on hand (hahaha literally) is that I can wear it everyday and it doesn’t bother me. I will wear it will crocheting, running errands or just doing daily life chores and, I even forget that I have it on. Check out the unboxing video to see how it works!
Since we are making a crochet project, of course we are going to need a crochet hook! This crochet hook was a custom design and colorway just for our spring box. Isn’t it beautiful? My husband Eric makes these crochet hooks for our boxes and they are designed to make crocheting more comfortable, faster and pain free! As well as have a gorgeous tool to use while you crochet. As crocheters we love tools and gadgets and crochet hooks are a tool that we need to have in a project make to crochet that project.
For our 10 Days of Spring Yarn Box the hook size is a H (5mm) crochet and the handle has gorgeous shades of green, grey and yellow/orange. Even thought this hook was designed for our spring box, the crochet hook size is a popular size that you will be able to use it all year long!
Now it is time to open up our first yarn bag, now we are only opening one yarn bag a day, because this designed to be a mystery advent style crochet along, it is like a crochet present everyday with yarn! The first color is called Kelly Green it is a beautiful bright shade of green and it has a similar shade of green in it that you will find in the crochet hook. This first skein is a 20 gram skein of dk weight yarn, even though it is small it is a gorgeous green! Now go cake up your yarn or roll it into a ball and get ready to start the Blossom Table Runner!!
