Did you know that we have a monthly crochet subscription box called the Leither Collection, let’s dive into the November 2020 Box!
With the love of crochet and everything about it we started a crochet subscription box back in October 2018.
I have been designing crochet patterns since 2012! I love coming up with new designs and having a theme to create those designs. After my husband started making crochet hooks in 2018 after my crochet injury, I became inspired to crochet even more!
Then I started hand dyeing yarn and designing based on the colorway and weight of the yarn, that is when the Leither Collection Subscription Box was born!

It has been a little while since I have done a blog post of our monthly Leither Collection Subscription Box and I thought it was time to do one again because I had SO MUCH FUN photographing our November 2020, Enchanted Collection!
If you rememeber at the beginning of the year we created some fun fairy tale theme collections, Wonderland (Alice in Wonderland), A Dream is a Wish (Cinderella), Under the Sea (Little Mermaid) and Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood) and there was one that I really wanted to create and that is what we are getting to do this month with the Enchanted (Beauty and the Beast) Collection.
The colors, yarns, crochet hooks, crochet patterns were just a dream to make for this box and I am still crushing on it!
So, let’s dive a little deeper into our November 2020 Leither Collection Subscription Box, Enchanted Collection!
Okay, so I have an OBSESSION with tweed yarns, if I could do tweed yarns for everything we do, I probably would! Tweed yarns give the colors of yarn extra pops of natural colors within the yarn and projects without having to add more dye colors. Tweed yarns are gorgeous for solids and tonal yarns as well as multi colored yarn. Basically tweed yarn is probably my favorite fiber in any yarn weight!
Our merino yarn this month is a gorgeous tweed yarn, called Enchanted Tweed! It has gorgeous shades of blue with those pops of natural tweed in it and it basically amazing! I was a little sad when I finished the crochet projects for this months designs because I wanted to keep crocheting with this yarn.
Last month our Merino yarn colorway was called April Showers and it was this beautiful light colorway but with many colors, as you would see through a rainstorm, with the rainbow on the other side. This month, I wanted to transition our colorway into a blooming flowers look with shades of purple and green. Our merino yarn this month is a beautiful purple and cream shades that transitions into this beautiful that has little hints of yellow and orange. I loved this colorway, because this dye is so unique and some of the yarns took on more yellow and orange than others.
The merino yarn base this month is a dk weight tweed and it such a squishy yarn that is a dream to work with! The merino colorway is called Enchanted, it is 85% superwash merino wool and 15% dongeal nep and it has 231 yards which is 100 grams!!
After I created the merino yarn in gorgeous shades of blue, I knew that the cotton yarn had to be created in a gorgeous shade of yellow. Meet our cotton yarn for November 2020, Candlelight. Candlelight is a dk weight yarn as well and it is 100% cotton yarn.
Beanies that I love!!

Let’s talk about these gorgeous crochet hooks! First lets talk about the design of the hook this month, it has gorgeous details. The hooks are always designed to not only have gorgeous details but the design helps reduce pressure points in your hand while crocheting! Those curves also bring out the colors and grain in the woods.
When I was selecting our funfetti wood for our Enchanted Collection, when I came across this blue and yellow colorway, I knew it would be the perfect color to create our Enchanted theme because blue and yellow are a must!
The crochet hook size this month is a J (6mm) crochet hook size!
The natural wood this month is our gorgeous redheart which is a gorgeous red wood. We needed to bring some red into the box this month and the natural crochet hook was the perfect place. All of the hooks are the same gorgeous style and unique in their own way. Which one did you receive?
Our stitch marker, Mrs. Pots and Chip is what helped kicked off this Enchanted Collection, when I came across this stitch marker, I knew I had to create an Enchanted Collection for one of our Leither Collection Subscription Boxes!!
Now lets dive into the crochet patterns! The first pattern in the box was the Enchanted Beanie, it is created with the Enchanted Tweed yarn and it is a gorgeous textured beanie that with the yarn colors, the texture and the brim, it is a gorgeous must make and wear crochet pattern.
The second crochet pattern in the Enchanted Collection is the Candlelight Candle Cozy. I knew I wanted to make something fun and creative with the cotton yarn, I just didn’t know what I wanted to create. As I started to think of the Beauty and the Beast story, I realized what would look gorgeous with the yellow cotton yarn. Something for a candle. I was originally just going to make a candle cozy for wick candle but I wanted something different, I wanted something that wouldn’t change the look over time and after a trip to Michaels and coming across this gorgeous piece, I knew I had to make the Candlelight Candle Cozy!!
Which crochet pattern is your favorite? I loved creating both of these designs.
Last month, with our 2 year anniversary box of the Leither Collection Subscription Box, we launched an extension of the Leither Collection Subscription Box called the Leither Collection Digital Exclusive. Leither Collection Digital Exclusive, is essentially a digital crochet membership. I take the same merino yarn inside our monthly box and make larger crochet projects, more advanced crochet projects!
For our Enchanted Collection, I designed two new crochet patterns, the Enchanted Cardigan and Enchanted Shawl. Both of these crochet patterns were amazing to make and I am so excited to have them in my crochet wardrobe now and can’t wait to wear them a bunch!
Now the crochet patterns that are inside the Leither Collection Digital Exclusive are exclusive to the membership for 3-6 months before they are released to the main store and the only way to snag these crochet patterns is the to become a member.
I would love for you to become a Leither Collection Digital Exclusive Founding Member! I am working behind the scenes to the the membership even better but if you join now for $7/month or $65/year you will be grandfathered into the membership at that price and when we release the other goodies that are coming the Leither Collection Digital Exclusive you will already be a member at an amazing prize and get those goodies first!

We love putting together the boxes every month and adding every piece that goes into the box. We brainstorm the yarn colors and decide if the crochet hooks will completely coordinate or complement the yarn. Once I have the colors for the yarn chosen, then I decide what I am going to make. I let the colors of the yarn tell me what it wants to be! We have also loved finding coordinating stitch markers to complete the set.
If you received the November 2020 box I would love to know what your favorite item from the box was. If you didn’t receive the box, would still love to know which item I showed you was your favorite. Remember you can now purchase this as the Enchanted Kit in our store.
You can also purchase extra yarn that was featured in the box!
Don’t forget you can join at any time to receive the next month’s box.
